Jobless Americans Have Many Concerns

Jobless Americans have many concerns in regards to finding employment. Did you know some companies are now not hiring anyone that is unemployed? That means jobless Americans who are patiently trying to find a job are already out of the mix for some positions.
What is the lunacy behind this theory? Which genius figured out that people who are unemployed are unworthy of being hired? Doesn't it make sense that those who are unemployed might just be the hungriest and most appreciative? The people who are starving for a position might just be the person who will work the absolute hardest.
Maybe some employers believe that the unemployed people are actually unemployed for a reason. Wouldn't it be worth the time to interview and find out what those reasons are? Someone who was laid off through no fault of their own deserves way better respect from the job world. This elitist attitude is unacceptable on so many levels and should call for lawsuits or more fittingly government penalties. I am not the kind of guy who jumps on a lawsuit bandwagon at any point--but this is absolutely ridiculous and should be addressed by our government.
There should be strong repercussions for those who will simply refuse to look at the resume of the unemployed. What those companies are saying is we will take the "good" employed people and leave the newly vacant positions to those who are "bad" unemployed people.

To characterize unemployed people as unhirable is inexcusable. Corporations should not have a specific rule in place before they even look at a resume. Although, let's face it. If those same companies do have a prospective hire in that has been unemployed--they'll probably just interview him or her and never call them back. That attitude is awful in this economy and explains to some extent the reason so many people are unemployed for long terms. That's exactly why the 2010 Unemployment Benefits Extension should have been a no-brainer.
